Carole Frances started her career with a Fine Arts Bachelor's Degree with a Business minor from St. Xaivers University in Chicago, IL.  Hired initially as an interior designer for Chicago's leading furniture retailer, John M. Smythe, a 200,000 square foot flagship store in the heard of Downtown Chicago with 12 branch stores.  She was soon promoted to Display Director for all stores.  Designing and managing staff in creation of all furniture displays, and assisted buyers in merchandising.  She fulfilled the requirements at the professional level to merit membership into "The Interior Design Society."

A personal move to Northern California brought her to the Drexel-Heritage stores where she initiated Interior Design Departments within each store and set up monthly "Design" classes for various women groups, which quickly became a popular seminar.

With an enterprising spirit, Carole opened her own Design Boutique in Saratoga, Ca.  Thereafter she was selected to participate in designing The Governor's Mansion in Monte Sereno, as a "Showcase Mansion" for charity.

Carole was given the honor of "Business Associate of the Year" by the Loma Prieta Chapter, Business Women's Association.

Her notable expertise led her to merchandising model homes for new-home builders.  By which she made it her mission to create and develop design themes that respond to the builder's concepts and the homebuyer's needs.

All of these past experiences have set Carole up to be perfectly equiped to establish her current self named design firm.  Ready and excited to accept new challenges, she takes on each project with pride and zeal.

Carole Frances IDS has designed and project managed interiors for a diverse range of facilities:
